How big is each maximum file I can upload to your service?
We set the limit at 500MB each file, you may split into more files if it is too large.

How long will the file be hosted on your service?
All files that have no download in a period of 30 days are deleted by our system.

Will my file "expire" after a set number of downloads?
We do not impose any limit on how many times your file can be downloaded, it is unlimited!

I lost my download/delete link, what should I do?
You need to upload the file again and please record the URL somewhere.
Or register for a free account to access file management tool.

Can I resume a broken download?
Yes, any download manager or accelerator will work.

FTP uploads

What is FTP and what is it for?

FTP is short for File Transfer Protocol. It is widely used to transfer (copy, transmit) files on the Internet from local to remote computer (server). Besides, with FTP it is possible to work (rename, delete etc.) with files on remote computer (server) directly, as if they were stored by your local computer.

To use FTP protocol you're going to need special software, called the FTP client. Most modern browsers have built-in FTP capabilities, but they are rather limited. While it is possible to use FTP right thought your web browser window, for uploads it is much more convenient to use FTP clients such as file management system Total Commander and Cute FTP.

How do I connect to FTP server?

On the example shown below we use Total Commander FTP software.

Download, install and run Total Commander.

Go to Main Menu->NET->FTP Connect… (or press Ctrl+F).



Click this butt on "New connections…" to create a new connection.

Fill the required form attributes as it is shown on the picture above. For instance if you registered on MomUpload.com site with email - myname@mail.com and your chosen password was password - 12345, then in the field "User name:" type myname@mail.com, and in "Password:" field - 12345 accordingly. Check that you did not mistype anything and click "Ok". Now all what's left is to choose your connection:



And click on the "Connect" button as shown.



Now it's the time to download a file! On the picture above left panel displays us a remote FTP server. Right panel shows the files on our local computer.

At right panel select a file by clicking on it and press F5.



Now you need to click "Ok"



The file should begin uploading.



That was it! Congratulations, you have just uploaded your file to a FTP server :)

I've uploaded my files to FTP server, but how do I know where the download links are?

Go to our site, select "Manage files" section and go to "FTP" folder. There you can see a list of files you uploaded to the FTP server.



Select the files, choose a folder where you want to move those files to, and click "Ok". Done! Now you can go to that folder and get all downloadable links to every single file it contains.

I uploaded a file to FTP server, approved it and moved to the folder, but the file is not there! What's wrong?

Most likely the size of your file exceeds 500 megabytes. You cannot upload a file if its size goes beyond 500MB limit.

What are other limits on FTP uploads?

You can have up to 100 files on the FTP server (inside of your FTP folder) simultaneously. Their sheer size cannot exceed the limit of one gigabyte (1 GB).

How long the NOT approved files are being kept inside of my FTP folder before they are permanently deleted?

They are saved for three days, after that they will be automatically deleted. This applies to NOT approved files only.

Why bother with FTP at all? What's the point?

The best thing about FTP is the ability to regain connection at the point where it had dropped, rather than begin downloading/uploading from the scratch every time your internet connection is dropped or times out. And besides, it is really convenient in use. Good example is the ability to upload several files via single mouse click and simpler yet very useful things you can't do by uploading through quite lacking web browser's interface.

If your Premium membership is active there should be no problem with downloads. Try to hit file link(s) again to start download. Make sure you are logged into your Premium account in separate window.

I did not finish downloading file(s) due to connection problem but my available bandwidth has been decreased!
No problem. Simply contact Premium members support at http://momupload.com/contacts/ (select Premium support in scroll window) and we will refund used bandwidth to your account. We apologies for any technical problems.

With premium membership you receive instant fast speed downloads with no advertisement shown. You don't have to wait till download ports are available and your download requests are always first priority in queue.
